Dr. Moopen’s Medical College Hospital formerly known as DM Wayanad Institute of Medical Sciences is one of the top prestigious medical colleges in the Wayanad district of Kerala. The medical college is founded by visionary personnel and Padma Shree Awardee Dr. Azad Moopen. 

He is the founding father of the DM Education and Research Foundation. The Trust was founded back in 2002 with a vision to encourage scientific temperament and to spread the wisdom of knowledge in every aspect of life. The institution is popularly known as DMMC Wayanad, established in 2012.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from any recognized board.

• The Candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st March in the same year of applying. 

• Candidates must have qualified for NEET-UG 2023 with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.

• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before the 11th of July in the same year of applying.

• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.

Admission Process in Dr. Moopen’s Medical College Wayanad 

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG 2023 and NEET-PG 2023 for Postgraduate courses. Dr. Moopen’s Medical College Wayanad offers MD and MS Courses along with the Super specialty programs.

Dr. Moopen’s Medical College Wayanad offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. The MBBS course in this college is 5.5 years long including 1 year of mandatory internship.
