The state of Andhra Pradesh is home to several world-class and advanced medical colleges and super-specialty hospitals. Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences Vijayawada has been assigned to carry out the state medical counselling for the PG aspirants. As far as PG (MD/MS) seats are concerned, there are 2113 PG medical seats in Andhra Pradesh. 

The government medical institutes are having 952 MD/MS seats and 1161 seats at Private medical colleges. The medical colleges of Andhra Pradesh offer 1426 MD seats and 736 MS seats in total.

NEET PG 2021 Results have been declared, so AP PG Counselling 2021 is commenced from 5th Nov 2021. Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada i.e. NTRUHS, Vijayawada is the sole competent authority to conduct AP NEET PG Counselling 2021, however for 100% seats in Deemed Medical Institutes in Andhra Pradesh, the MCC i.e. Medical Counselling Committee will carry out the Counselling for All India Quota seats.

Andhra Pradesh NEET PG Counselling 2021: Counselling Process

Andhra Pradesh NEET PG Counselling 2021 is a state Centralized Online Counselling Process. The sole authority to conduct online NEET PG Counselling 2021 is Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences i.e. NTRUHS, Vijayawada.

Candidates need to visit the official website at https://ntruhs.ap.nic.in for registration on the basis of NEET PG Score 2021. Candidates can apply to MD/MS/PGD Courses in various Government/Private medical colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

In order to secure a Clinical or Para-clinical (MD/MS) seat in Deemed Medical College, Candidates will have to register at https://mcc.nic.in. as per the latest Supreme Court orders, all rounds of counselling including the stray round will take place followed by MCC itself from 2021 onwards. There will be no seat reverted back to the state quota if vacant after the last round. The last round of PG Medical Counselling is subjected to the availability of MD/MS/PGD Seats after the 2nd round.

Admissions to the Medical/Dental/Ayush colleges of Andhra Pradesh are solely based on the NEET PG 2021 score. Only NEET 2021 qualified candidates can participate in the Andhra Pradesh NEET PG Counselling 2021. Details are being shared in the article below.

Registration & Application Form:

• Candidates who wish to secure an MD/MS seat in Andhra Pradesh, need to register themselves on the official website at https://ntruhs.ap.nic.in to participate in The Andhra Pradesh NEET PG Medical Counselling 2021.
• Candidates are advised to fill out the application form for Andhra Pradesh NEET PG Counselling 2021 carefully as they will not be able to edit the details, once the application form is submitted.

State Merit/Rank List:

• The Selection Committee then prepares a state merit list of the candidates, who have registered for Andhra Pradesh NEET PG Counselling 2021.
• Provisional Allotment Order is prepared according to the marks obtained in NEET PG 2021. Call letters will be available online for download.

Choice Filling and Locking:

• Eligible Candidates need to submit their preference (Course/College) online through the Choice filling.
• An OTP needs to be confirmed by the registered mobile number of the candidate.
• After locking the choices, the candidate must take a print out of the choices submitted.

Seat Allotment List:

The Selection Committee, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada releases the seat allotment list, which is prepared on the basis of the choices filled by the candidates and ranks in the state merit list. Selected candidates need to report to the allotted institute along with all essential documents within the stipulated date/time.

From 2021 onwards, due to the pandemic of Covid-19, verification of documents will not be carried out offline. So, Candidates belonging to states other than Andhra Pradesh have to pay an extra sum of money for online verification of documents. 

Candidates have to upload scanned copies of documents along with application form of Andhra Pradesh NEET PG Counselling to https://ntruhs.ap.nic.in. However, admissions confirmed are subjected to successful verification of their documents.

Reporting to Allotted College:

• This is the final event when the candidates need to report to the allotted college with an allotment letter before the last date of admission.
• Seats will be considered as confirmed, once the fee payment and verification of documents would have taken place.

AP NEET PG Counselling 2021: Verification of Documents

Due to the global pandemic, from 2021 onwards, the verification of documents submitted by the candidates will be carried out online. For that candidates need to deposit certain verification fees mentioned earlier in the article.

AP NEET PG Counselling 2021: Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have qualified NEET-PG 2021.
• Candidates must have the domicile of Andhra Pradesh (Differ for NRI/Other Quota)
• Candidates must have passed MBBS from an NMC Recognized Medical College.
• The candidates must have completed 1 year of Mandatory Internship on or before 31st of March 2021.
• Any Candidate who has obtained his/her MBBS degree from outside India must have a qualified FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) Screening Test along with 1 year of Internship likely to be complete on or before 31st of Mar, 21.
• Candidates, who are having domicile of the state of Andhra Pradesh or have completed MBBS from an institute located in the state, will be eligible for the seats in the government colleges.

Candidates who are qualified for NEET-PG 2021 conducted by NBE (National Board of Examination), are eligible to participate in the AP NEET PG Counselling 2021.
