Believers Church Medical College is one of the top Christian minority medical colleges in Thiruvalla district of Kerala. The medical college is a well-known healthcare institution and a popular academic institute. Believers Church Medical College is popularly known as BCMC Thiruvalla and was established in 2016.

As far as the affiliation is concerned, BCMC Thiruvalla is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences Thrissur and recognised by the National Medical Commission New Delhi to provide Undergraduate course to the aspirants. MBBS Intake is 100 students per session, which is recognised by the NMC New Delhi and permitted by the MoHFW, Govt. of India.

Believers Church Medical College Thiruvalla: Eligibility Criteria

Believers Church Medical College Hospital Thiruvalla offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level so far. Very soon Postgraduate programs are going to be started in certain MD and MS specializations. 

Besides it, BCMC Thiruvalla is also offering specific Super specialty programs in DM and M.Ch specializations recognized by NMC, New Delhi.  For the latest eligibility criteria candidates can visit https://bcmch.org.

To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in BCMC, Thiruvalla, the candidates need to hold specific eligibility criteria which are discussed below. Only NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling. 

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• The Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st Dec 2022. The candidates who do not complete 17 years as on 31st Dec’22 is not eligible.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before the 11th of July in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.

Believers Church Medical College Thiruvalla: Admission Process

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. Believers Church Medical College Thiruvalla offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and Postgraduate programs are soon to be started as Permission is due from the National Medical Commission New Delhi. 

Students who wish to take admission to this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counselling conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations an integral body of Kerala Higher Education Institutions. Only NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling.

Believers Church Medical College Thiruvalla: MBBS Seat Matrix 

As per the guidelines of NMC (Earlier MCI), Believers Church Medical College Thiruvalla offers admission in specific quotas in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses of the college. 

As per the directives laid down by the National Medical Commission, 85% of seats are reserved for the State Merit Quota out of which 50% seats are reserved for the Christian minority students, and 15% of seats are reserved for All India/NRI Quota. Believers Church Medical College Thiruvalla: MBBS Admission Process

Believers Church Medical College Thiruvalla offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. The MBBS course in this college is 5.5 years long including 1 year of mandatory internship. 

Candidates seeking admission to MBBS in BCMC Thiruvalla need to qualify for NEET-UG followed by the Counselling conducted by DGHS, New Delhi on the behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee.
