Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level computer-based entrance examination conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for MBA/PGDM programs across India. Its scores are accepted by more than 1200 colleges providing management programs approved by AICTE. More than 70000 students apply for this test every year.
It is a 3-hour long test comprising 100 questions divided into 4 sections. Candidates can also apply for an optional paper for which extra time will be allotted, these sections are:
The application or exam form filling process starts in January and the exam takes place in March. Being an online exam, NTA has made provisions for computer-based exams in more than 154 cities across India. The result of the CMAT is declared in the third week of March.
CMAT scores are accepted by most of the colleges offering MBA/PGDM courses. The colleges accepting CMAT scores are, SIMSREE, SOIL, IBS, GIM Goa, FORE, IMT, K J Somaiya, and PUMBA.
The Registration process for CMAT 2022 will start from 15th January 2022, and the last day to register is 15th February 2022. The admit card can be downloaded from the official site from 20th February 2022. This will be a 3-hour exam with a total of 100 questions divided into 4 sections namely, Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension & Verbal Ability, and General Awareness.
You can also opt for an optional paper Innovation and Entrepreneurship which consists of 25 questions. There are two slots for the examination. The timing of the first slot of examination will be from 9:00 am till 12:00 noon and the timing for the second slot of examination will be from 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm. For candidates who opted for an optional paper extra half an hour will be provided in each slot.

CMAT is an online entrance exam to get admission into post-graduate courses like MBA/PGDM.
