Dr. N.D. Desai Faculty of Medical Sciences Nadiad is the recently established medical institute in the Nadiad district of Gujarat. The medical college is popularly known as NDSFMS, Nadiad and it is the fifth faculty to be started by the Dharm Singh Desai University of Nadiad.

The medical college was established in 2019 and since then it has been an integral unit of Dharmsinh Desai University i.e. DDU, Nadiad. From the academic year 2019-20, National Medical Commission, New Delhi has granted admission with an annual intake of 150 MBBS Students.

The medical college is affiliated with its parent university i.e. Dharmsinh Desai University and recognized by the National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI), New Delhi. More details about admission, Course, Fees, etc are explained in the following article.

Dr. N.D. Desai Faculty of Medical Science Nadiad: Eligibility Criteria

Dr. N.D. Desai Faculty of Medical Science Nadiad offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, and MS at the Postgraduate level. To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in NDFMS, Nadiad, the candidates need to hold specific eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same.
• The Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st Dec 2021. The candidates who do not complete 17 years as on 31st Dec’21 are not eligib
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile.

Dr. N.D. Desai Faculty of Medical Science Nadiad: Admission Process

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. Dr. N.D. Desai Faculty of Medical Science Nadiad offers MD and MS Courses along with the Super specialty program.

Students who wish to take admission to this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counselling conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate/Postgraduate Medical Courses an integral body of Gujarat Professional Medical Education Institutions. Only NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling.

Seat Matrix for Distinct Quotas

As per the guidelines of NMC (Earlier MCI), Dr. N.D. Desai Faculty of Medical Science, Nadiad offers admission in specific quotas in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses of the college.

MBBS Admission Process

Dr. N.D. Desai Faculty of Medical Science offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. The MBBS course in this college is 5.5 years long including 1 year of mandatory internship.

Candidates seeking admission to MBBS in Dr. N.D. Desai Faculty of Medical Science Nadiad need to qualify for NEET-UG followed by the Counselling conducted by DGHS, New Delhi on the behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee.
