FMGE i.e Foreign Medical Graduate Examination is a screening test that was introduced in 2002 under screening test regulations. As per the regulations, An indian citizen or overseas citizen of India having a primary medical qualification conferred by any Medical institution outside India, who is seeking permanent or provisional registration with the National Medical Commission (earlier MCI) or any state medical council on or after 15.03.2002 shall have to qualify FMGE.
FMGE Dec 2020 Conducting Authority
The screening test of FMGE is conducted by the National Board of Examinations. NBE is the sole authority which has been entrusted with the responsibility to conduct FMGE. However the role of NBE is confined to the conduct of the test, publishing the result and handing over the result to the NMC (Earlier MCI) and all state medical councils.
NBE has released FMGE Dec 2020 admit card. The admit card is issued at nbe.edu.in for the screening test which was held on 4th Dec 2020. The board has sent the email & sms to all the registered candidates regarding admit card availability.

The prescribed fee must be remitted through payment gateway using a Debit/Credit Card issued by banks in india or Internet Banking. Exam fees once submitted can’t be withdrawn. Fee shall neither be carried forward to a future date nor refunded in any circumstances.
FMGE Eligibility Criteria
The candidates seeking permanent/provisional registration by the National Medical Commission or state medical council to practice or study medicine in India must fulfil the following criteria to appear in FMGE :
The candidates who are appearing in the FMGE Screening test have to attempt in both parts of the examination. Part A was scheduled in the Morning Shift whereas Part B was scheduled for the evening shift. Examination occurred in Online mode with MCQ pattern. There had been no negative marking and the only language for the test is English.
There will be two parts for the screening test FMGE. part A will carry 100 marks whereas the Part B of clinical subjects will carry 200 marks. The detailed syllabus of FMGE Dec 2020 along with respective marks is as follows :
