GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Visakhapatnam offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level. The college is conducting Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery. The duration of the course is 5.5 years including 1 year of Mandatory Internship. 

To secure a seat in MBBS in GIMSR, Visakhapatnam, the candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board.
• Candidates belonging to OBC Category must possess 45% marks in the same subjects combination and for SC/ST Category, the required percentage is 40%. 
• Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile.

All the admissions to the UG Course are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG. GIMSR, Visakhapatnam offers MBBS Program in 150 seats. Students who wish to take admission in this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counseling conducted by MCC. Only NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counseling.

As per the guidelines of NMC (Earlier MCI), GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Visakhapatnam offers admission in three distinct quotas in the Undergraduate program of the college. 

50% of seats are reserved for the general category and the rest 50% of seats are reserved for Andhra Pradesh State Quota. For the sake of information, out of 50% of seats of general candidates, 15% of seats are reserved for the NRI Category quota. Necessary details are being mentioned below.

GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Visakhapatnam offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. The MBBS course in this college is 5.5 years long including 1 year of mandatory internship. 

Candidates, who are seeking admission to MBBS in GIMSR, Visakhapatnam need to qualify NEET-UG followed by the Counselling conducted by MCC. All rounds of counseling are held online. Candidates as per secured rank in NEET-UG will be able to acquire a seat and then need to report to the college with having essential documents.
