Graduate Management Admission Test, also known as GMAT is a computerized aptitude test designed to test the verbal and analytical capabilities of a candidate. This test is the one-way ticket to get admission into Graduate Management Programs such as MBA which is accepted by most renowned business schools across the world. More than 2 lakhs students apply for this test every year, making it the most reliable aptitude test in the world.
There is no specific date or time to give GMAT; anyone can apply for online exam as short as an appointment 24 hours before the test. This exam is based on rolling basics. Being an online exam, there are about 35 test centers in more than 18 states across India. You can also give the exam from the comfort of your home.
The online exam result reports are available for free for the first 2 times if you use the report within 48 hours. Post that, the online test report can be purchased at a cost of $35 each. GMAT is considered a difficult exam to crack as only 6% of the total candidates score above 720.
The entire exam is divided into 4 sections:
- Integrated Reasoning skills – it consists of TITA type question
- Quantitative skills – it consists of MCQ questions
- Verbal skills – it consists of MCQ questions
- Analytical Writing Assessment- it contains an essay question

HOME PROCTORED GMAT (ONLINE GMAT)
GMAT can be given through test centers and at your home. Home proctored GMAT or Online GMAT provides you flexibility to give your exam from the comfort of your home. Appointments are available around the clock and all you need is a Windows or Mac computer/laptop. The score, time and the sections are same as that of the test-center based exam.

GMAT 2022 RESERVATION CRITERIA
Officially there are no specific criteria set forth by GMAC for any candidate to become eligible for exam but it is necessary to clear the criteria set by university/institute that you will be applying to.
The following is the detailed criteria-
- Candidates applying for GMAT 2022 should have completed their graduation from a recognized university.
- The candidate must be more than 18 years old to apply for GMAT. Although there were some cases where candidates below 18 years took GMAT with the permission in writing of their parents or guardians. There is NO upper age limit.
- Students who are currently in their final year of their bachelor’s degree or are waiting for their results can also appear for the exam.
- If the candidates graduation score is in the form of grades or CGPS, then the marks will be calculated by the methods suggested by the institute/university.
