Gujarat Adani Institute of Medical Sciences Bhuj is one of the top medical colleges in the district of Bhuj in Gujarat. The medical college is a “blessing in disguise” in a district like Kutchh, which is underdeveloped and a big drought-prone area. The medical institute is popularly known as GAIMS, Bhuj. GAIMS Bhuj is the very first medical college in the district of Kachchh, developed and established on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) endeavor between the Government of Gujarat and the Adani Education & Research Foundation.

The medical college was established in 2009 and is the only medical college and multi-specialty modern teaching hospital in the Kachchh district. Gujarat Adani Institute of Medical Sciences Bhuj is a part of Adani Groups Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives and is managed by Adani Education & Research Foundation, under the ambit of Adani Foundation. 

Gujarat Adani Institute of Medical Sciences Bhuj is affiliated with Krantiguru Shyamji Krishna Verma (KSKV) Kachchh University. GAIMS Bhuj is recognized by NMC for the MBBS Program with an annual intake of 150 students. Gujarat Adani Medical College Bhuj: Eligibility Criteria

Gujarat Adani Medical College Bhuj offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, MS at the Postgraduate level. For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• The Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st Dec 2021. The candidates who do not complete 17 years as on 31st Dec’21 are not eligible.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before the 31st of July in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.

Gujarat Adani Medical College Bhuj: Admission Process

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All-India Entrance Exam i.e., NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. Gujarat Adani Medical College Bhuj offers MD and MS Courses along with the Super specialty program. 

Students who wish to take admission to this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counselling conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate/Postgraduate Medical Courses an integral body of Gujarat Professional Medical Education Institutions. Only NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling.

Gujarat Adani Medical College Bhuj offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. The MBBS course in this college is 5.5 years long including 1 year of mandatory internship.
