Kanachur Medical College is a Muslim minority college established by Kanachur Islamic Education Trust. This is a private, unaided, and charitable trust which is registered under the Govt. of Karnataka.

KIMS, Mangalore was established in 2014. It is one of the leading medical institutes of this region providing high-quality medical education, and health care services of truly global standards. Kanachur Medical College based in Mangalore is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru. KIMS, Mangalore is recognized by National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI), New Delhi. The college is well approved by MoHFW, Govt. of India.

Currently KIMS, Mangalore is offering MBBS at the Undergraduate level. Admission to this course requires qualified in NEET-UG followed by the counseling conducted by KEA, Bengaluru. The college offers an MBBS Program that carries a duration of 4.5 years of Academic Course and 1 year of Mandatory Internship. The entire duration of the course is 5.5 years. 

Aspirants seeking admission to KIMS, Mangalore need to qualify for NEET-UG. Candidates are required to go through a centralized Counselling process conducted by KEA, Bangalore. 

All rounds of Counselling are held online.
