Maharashtra Institute of Medical Sciences & Research abbreviated as MIMSR is one of the most reputed and leading Medical colleges precisely located at Latur district in the state of Maharashtra. MIMSR located at Latur was established in 1990 by MAEER Trust to develop and promote medical professionals and educational facilities to train the aspiring young generation to serve society at large.

Maharashtra Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Latur offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, MS at the Postgraduate level. MIMSR, Latur is a privately established medical Institution in the state facilitating with appropriate reservation as per the order mentioned by DMER, Mumbai. 

To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in MIMSR’s, Latur, the candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• Candidates need to attain 17 years of age till 31st of Dec. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 31st of March in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.
• Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses in MIMSR’s Medical College, Latur are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. MIMSR, Latur offers MD and MS Courses in several Clinical and Non-Clinical programs. 

Students who wish to take admission in this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counseling conducted by Maharashtra CET. MIMSR’s Medical College, Latur offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. Maharashtra Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Latur: MD/MS Admission Process

Being one of the oldest and leading Private Medical Colleges in the Latur district of Maharashtra, MIMSR, Latur is imparting very few Advanced Postgraduate Medical Courses. Currently, MIMSR offers a spectrum of PG Courses in several Clinical and Non-Clinical Courses with a duration of 3 years. 

All the admissions to these PG Courses in the MIMSR, Latur are based on the score of NEET-PG followed by the centralized counseling conducted by the Maharashtra Cet, Mumbai on the behalf of DMER, Mumbai. Candidates need to participate in the counseling conducted by MahaCET for distinct quotas. 

Besides this, MBBS students need to have completed 1 year of rotating internship and must possess permanent/provisional Medical registration provided by the NMC or the respective state medical council. Candidates not having domicile of Maharashtra can only apply for admission through the Management quota.

Yeshwantarao Chavan Rural Hospital is popularly known as YCR Hospital, Latur. It was established in August 1990 with just 200 beds and now the hospital has already been expanded to 700 beds. What makes it possible to establish a multi-specialty hospital in the city of Latur is that big cities like Mumbai, Pune, and Aurangabad, etc have several advanced hospitals but as far as the Latur is concerned, it was a much-needed step to initiate facilitating health services to poor and needy people of the region.

• YCR Hospital is equipped with an Advanced Casualty and Emergency department. There are 30 beds operational in the emergency section and additional 20 beds are there in the disaster management department.
