Mahaveer Institute of Medical Science & Research is one of the newly established private medical colleges in the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, i.e. Bhopal. This medical college is popularly known as MIMS Bhopal. 

Mahaveer Institute of Medical Science was established in 2020 by Jain Sarvodaya Vidya Gyanpith Samiti Bhopal. The parent trust is a non-profit charitable organisation. Since its foundation, MIMS Bhopal was affiliated with Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University, Jabalpur.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• The Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st Dec 2022. The candidates who do not complete 17 years as on 31st Dec’22 is not eligible.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile.

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 31st of July in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.
• Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and for reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

Mahaveer Institute of Medical Science Bhopal: Admission Process

All the admissions to the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam. NEET i.e. National Eligibility Entrance Test is conducted twice a year by NTA (National Testing Agency) to provide admission to MIMS Bhopal. Mahaveer Institute of Medical Sciences offers MBBS and MD/MS in several Clinical and Para-Clinical specializations.

As per the collective guidelines of NMC and Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh, MIMS Bhopal offers admission in distinct quotas in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in the college itself.

There is a High Court, Jabalpur judgment in 2016, according to which, 85% seats are reserved for state quota only and candidates not having domicile of MP can only claim 15% of seats in the Management/NRI category.

Mahaveer Institute of Medical Sciences Bhopal offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. The degree conferred by the MIMS Bhopal is approved by National Medical Commission, New Delhi.
