Malabar Medical College Hospital & Research Centre is one of the top medical colleges in the state of Kerala. The medical college is popularly known as MMC Kozhikode, established in 2010 by the esteemed Sree Anjaneya Medical Trust. MMC Kozhikode is the very first medical college in the state that has been permitted to intake 200 MBBS students per session.

All the necessary permission has been granted by the government of Kerala, National Medical Commission and Kerala University of Health Sciences. Malabar Medical College Kozhikode: Eligibility Criteria

Malabar Medical College offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, MS at the Postgraduate level. Besides this, MMC Kozhikode offers MD and MS Courses in certain clinical and para-clinical specializations.

To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in MMC Kozhikode, the candidates need to hold specific eligibility criteria which are discussed below. For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• The Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st Dec 2022. The candidates who do not complete 17 years as on 31st Dec’22 is not eligible.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before the 11th of July in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.

Malabar Medical College Kozhikode: Admission Process

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. Malabar Medical College Kozhikode offers MD and MS Courses along with the Super specialty programs. 

Students who wish to take admission to this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counselling conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations an integral body of Kerala Higher Education Institutions. As per the guidelines of NMC (Earlier MCI), Malabar Medical College Hospital Kozhikode offers admission in specific quotas in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses of the college.

Malabar Medical College Kozhikode: MBBS Admission Process

Malabar Medical College Kozhikode offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. The MBBS course in this college is 5.5 years long including 1 year of mandatory internship. 

Candidates seeking admission to MBBS in MMC Kozhikode need to qualify for NEET-UG followed by the Counselling conducted by DGHS, New Delhi on the behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee. MCC conducts Mop-Up round from 2021 onwards as per the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. Candidates as per secured rank in NEET-UG will be able to acquire a seat and then need to report to the college with essential documents.

Malabar Medical College Kozhikode: MD/MS Admission Process
