NMC, Raichur was established by Shri S.R. Reddy the chairman of Navodaya Education Trust. The parent organization of Navodaya Medical College is a Private, Unaided, and Charitable organization that has been doing exemplary work in the field of modern education.

Navodaya Medical College, Raichur was established in 2002. NMC, Raichur had got affiliation with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, and was recognized by National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI), New Delhi. The college is well approved to carry out imparting medical education and clinical training by MoHFW, Govt. of India.

As far as the practical training is concerned, Navodaya Medical College has an attached Navodaya Medical College Hospital & Research Centre. The hospital is a modern tertiary care teaching hospital equipped with 1110 teaching beds and 21 distinct departments. For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 31st of March in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.
• Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and for reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. NMC, Raichur offers MD and MS Courses in several clinical and para-clinical specializations, recognized by NMC, New Delhi. 

Students who wish to take admission in this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counseling conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore. For All India Quota seats, students need to participate in the counseling conducted by the same. The college offers an MBBS Program that carries a duration of 4.5 years of Academic Course and 1 year of Mandatory Internship. The entire duration of the course is 5.5 years.
