Counselling itself is a very important process rightly commenced after the NEET-UG 2022 results are declared. On the basis of college status i.e. Deemed, Trust, Govt. and Private, different counselling authorities have been assigned to carry out the counselling process to fill the seats of Medical Colleges.
MCC i.e. Medical Counselling Committee is the sole authority to conduct All India Counselling for the colleges of different stature in various quotas for Undergraduate seats. MCC conducts NEET UG Counselling in online mode only. NEET UG 2022 Results have been declared; hence NEET UG Counselling 2022 is being commenced on the 11th of Oct, 2022.
From 2021 onwards, all the rounds will be carried out by the MCC itself. From the first Round to the stray round vacancy, MCC will conduct the counselling. None of any vacant/unclaimed seats will be reverted to the respective state quota.
The candidates who have successfully qualified in the NEET-UG will be required to participate in the counselling by visiting the official website of MCC at https://mcc.nic.in. MCC has defined the role of Counselling for the following stature of Medical Colleges.
The medical counselling committee is authorized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India to fill the following Medical Seats in NEET UG 2022.

There will be more than 6000 Medical Colleges and 650 Hospitals participating in the NEET UG Counselling 2022. To participate in the NEET UG Counselling 2022, Students must qualify the NEET-UG Exam conducted by the National Testing Agency.
Only NEET UG 2022 qualified students will be able to participate in the NEET UG Counselling 2022 conducted by MCC, New Delhi.
To participate in the All-India Quota for Deemed/Central/ESIC and AFMC Institutes, Candidates are required to register themselves at the official website of MCC. Requisite Registration/Counselling fee needs to be paid along with basic academic details, active E-mail ID for future interaction, and preferred colleges.
For the remaining 85% State quota seats, UG Counselling is being carried out by distinct state counselling authorities. UG Counselling conducted by state medical bodies can either be online or offline mode.

Seat allotment is one of the main events in the entire counselling process. After completing the registration process for Round 1 of NEET UG Counselling 2022, DGHS, New Delhi conducts the seat allotment process.
NEET UG Counselling 2022, seat allotment will be done on multiple factors like NEET UG Rank, Choices of Colleges & Courses filled, availability of seats, and reservation criteria.
MCC will release the NEET UG 2022, seat allotment letters for shortlisted candidates on the official portal of MCC. After having the seat allotment letter, candidates will be required to report to the allotted college. More details can be obtained at https://mcc.nic.in.
After seat allotment is done, candidates need to visit the allotted institutes with certain specified documents on the official portal of MCC i.e. https://mcc.nic.in. Candidates must report to the allotted college physically for document verification and to confirm their MBBS/BDS seat in the Top Medical College across the country.
Original documents (along with attested copies of documents) for admission to Undergraduate medical/dental/nursing courses for admission to allotted college are required at the time of joining. Essential documents that need to be brought up by the candidates are mentioned below.
Candidates who fall under the category of NRI as per the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, are eligible for NRI Category. As per the directions of MCC, 15% of total Undergraduate seats, are reserved for NRI Quota.
The candidates, who wish to claim the benefit under NRI Category through NRI Sponsorship will have to submit the following documents called for by the MCC. More details can be ascertained at https://mcc.nic.in.
