Everything You Need to Know About NEET UG in Kerala


For undergraduate medical and dentistry programmes in India, there is a nationwide admission test called the nationwide Eligibility cum admission Test (NEET). The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the test.


There are a total of 535 BDS seats and 1,270 MBBS seats available in Kerala for NEET UG. Six dentistry institutes and 18 medical colleges in the state both provide these seats.


Kerala's Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Thiruvananthapuram, manages the NEET UG counselling procedure. There are two stages to the counselling process:


Round 1: Candidates who selected the 85% state quota seats are eligible to run in this round.

Round 2: Candidates who selected the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats are eligible for this round.

Based on the applicants' merit rankings and college preferences, seats are allocated in both rounds.


Kerala's eligibility requirements for NEET UG


Candidates must fulfil the requirements listed below in order to be eligible to apply for NEET UG in Kerala:


They must be an Indian national.

They must have passed a test in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or an equivalent exam in Class 12 or a related topic.

They must get a combined grade of at least 50% in physics, chemistry, and biology (PCB).

As of the exam date, the NEET UG upper age restriction is 25 years old.

Kerala's NEET UG Application Process


In Kerala, the NEET UG application procedure is conducted online. Applying is done via the NTA's official website. Beginning in April and ending in May is the application procedure.


Kerala's NEET UG application fees are Rs. 1400 for general category applicants and Rs. 750 for SC/ST/PwD applicants.
