NEPAL is one of the very few nations which has been keenly sought for pursuing a career in the field of medicine. Nepal is being in the lap of the Himalayas, this country achieved much in the field of medicine. Every year thousands of international students from different nations come to this country to pursue MD/MS. The medical universities of NEPAL are known for the quality of education they confer. As far as the cost of education which comprises tuition fees and other expenses is concerned it is not much costlier especially not more than most of the European and south-eastern countries. Nepal is well known for world-class medical education so students from India should certainly choose this country to pursue MD/MS in the medical colleges of the country. Every year the Medical Education Board conducts an Entrance Exams for all PG Courses to take admission in Nepal. In 2020 the exam was supposed to be held on Oct 13, 2020, but due to a global pandemic, the Honourable Supreme Court of Nepal has postponed it so this exam is rescheduled from 2nd Jan’21 to 4th of Jan’21 for all PG Courses in Nepal. Details of the syllabus and participating colleges where one can pursue MD/MS or any other PG Courses after completing the counseling process are discussed in the article.
Students are required to possess certain eligibility to take admission in any Medical college of Nepal for PG Courses. Students are advised to check all the eligibility details before appearing in the Entrance Exam. Necessary criteria that need to be followed are as follows:
Nepal Education Board is the sole authority to conduct PG Entrance Exams for the Medical Colleges of Nepal. A Number of Post Graduate courses are being studied by thousands of International Students including Indians. All the courses are well approved and recognized worldwide. 14 out of 16 Medical colleges of Nepal are MCI Recognized. So it is better to have a glance on all the courses for which PG Entrance Exams are being conducted from 2nd of Jan 2021 to 4th of Jan 2021. Course details are as follows:

Earlier MECEE PG 2020 exam was supposed to be held on Oct 13, 2020, but the global pandemic causes postponement from its schedule. The Supreme Court had ordered the postponement of the exam so, Now the latest date has been declared by the Medical Education Board of Nepal for the PG Courses. They just need to have a valid Identity Document.
Entrance exams for PG Courses in Nepal are to be held in Jan 2021 in Online Mode. The pattern of questions will be of MCQ type. There will be a total of 200 questions asked that need to be answered in 3 hours. There will be no negative marking in the scheme of the entrance exam. The language of the exam will remain in English.

Ques: is Nepal good for MD/MS?
Ans: Nepal is the only country having most of the MCI Approved colleges so to pursue MD/MS, Nepal is the best abroad destination.
Ques: Is Visa/Passport necessary to Visit Nepal?
Ans: No, Indian students are exempted from showing any Visa or passport however a valid Identity Document is necessary to visit Nepal.
Ques: Will MECEE 2020 be postponed?
Ans: Hopefully not because this is occuring after 3 months of its postponement and the examination schedule has been released by the authority of Nepal Education Board.
