Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay Govt. Medical College and Hospital is a recently established medical institute in the Howrah district of West Bengal. The medical college is being developed in Phase- 2 of the CSS Scheme in Uluberia of Howrah district of West Bengal. Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay Government Medical College & Hospital Howrah was established in 2022 with the noble effort of Govt. of West Bengal. The medical college is the sole in the Howrah district spread over a 7.62 acres campus.

The attached teaching hospital is equipped with 450 beds and the site is under construction to add more 220 beds in the total strength. The medical college is affiliated with WBUHS Kolkata i.e. West Bengal University of Health Sciences Kolkata and recognised by the NMC New Delhi and well approved by MoHFW Govt. of India. Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay GMCH Howrah

Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay Govt. Medical College & Hospital Howrah is established last year in 2022. As of now, only the MBBS program is being imparted in the college with the due permission of NMC New Delhi. As far as admission to MBBS is concerned, There are certain eligibility criteria formulated by the collective guidelines of NMC New Delhi and WBUHS Kolkata.

For MBBS Candidates:

Candidates must provide a domicile certificate stamped and signed by the competent authority. Candidates can download the domicile certificate proforma from https://wbmcc.nic.in.

Candidates need to qualify for NEET-UG 2023 with the required percentile.

Candidates need to have passed 12th with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Reserved category candidates need to possess 40% of the same.

Candidates need to attain 17 years of age by 31st Dec in the same year of applying. Less than mentioned age shall not be considered under any circumstances.

Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay GMCH is a recently established government medical college in Howrah. Advanced medical programs are offered by the college recognized by NMC New Delhi and well approved by MoHFW Govt. of India. Candidates need to qualify for NEET Exams 2023 followed by the counselling conducted by WBMCC Kolkata i.e. West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee.
