School of Tropical Medicine Kolkata is located on Chittaranjan Avenue near College Square Kolkata. During the pre-independence era, the eastern region of India i.e. precisely West and East Bengal of that time lies in the tropical region. Eligibility Criteria for Admission to School of Tropical Medicine Kolkata

Besides MD programs in Tropical Medicine, Dermatology & Venerology, there are certain programs at the postdoctoral levels too. Candidates need to provide a domicile certificate in the prescribed proforma available at https://wbmcc.nic.in to claim state quota.
Candidates must have passed MBBS from a medical college recognized by NMC.
Candidates need to qualify for NEET-PG 2023 with the required percentile.
Candidates need to produce a permanent/provisional registration certificate issued by NMC or any state medical council at the time of counselling.
For DM Programs:
Candidates must have passed MD or MS in any specialisations from any medical college recognized by NMC New Delhi.
Candidates must have qualified for NEET-SS 2023 conducted by NBE New Delhi.
For DM Programs, candidates need to possess an MD Degree in a specific branch of medicine.
For M.Ch. Programs, candidates need to possess an MS Degree in a specific branch of Surgery.
