Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences based in Indore is one of the earliest medical colleges in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The medical college is popularly known as SAIMS, Indore. SAIMS, Indore was established in 2003 and has been promoted by the Bhandari Group of Hospitals.

The idea behind the establishment of SAIMS, Indore was to promote advanced medical education at distinct levels. SAIMS, Indore is founded as per the inspiration drawn from Sri Aurobindo and the mother. The Institute is functioning with the objective of providing independent and accurate solutions to medical issues ranging from sophisticated Cardiac Surgery to common ailments at the most affordable cost and maximum benefits to the common people.

Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Indore is affiliated with Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Indore. SAIMS, Indore is well recognized by the National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI), New Delhi. The college is also approved to conduct Advanced Medical Education by the MoHFW, Govt. of India. SAIMS, Indore is recognized as a Regional Centre for Medical Education Technology by NMC.

As far as the Academic programs are concerned, SAIMS, Indore has been imparting MBBS at the UG level and MD/MS at the Postgraduate level. Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Indore: Eligibility Criteria

Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Indore is known for imparting Advanced medical education at distinct levels i.e. UG and PG at the Postgraduate level. Besides this, the college has also been conferring M.Ch and DM in several specializations. 

Students who are seeking admission to SAIMS, Indore needs to qualify All India Entrance Test followed by State Medical Counselling and MCC Counselling for AIQ. 

Candidates must be aware that Management/NRI Quota can be claimed on 15% Quota except for 85% state quota. Certain eligibility criteria must be fulfilled to secure a seat in PCMS, Bhopal is mentioned below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 31st of March in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.
• Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and for reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

For DM/M.Ch Aspirants:

• Candidates need to possess a PG Degree in the respective specialization from a recognized medical college by NMC.
• Candidates need to qualify for NEET-SS conducted by the NBE, New Delhi.
• For DM Aspirants, MD Degree is essential to possess in the respective branch.
• For M.Ch Aspirants, MS Degree in the required branch is mandatory to obtain.

Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Indore: Admission Process

All the admissions to the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam. NEET i.e. National Eligibility Entrance Test is conducted twice a year by NTA (National Testing Agency) to provide admission to SAIMS, Indore. Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences offers MBBS and MD/MS in several Clinical and Para-Clinical specializations.

SAIMS, Indore is also acknowledged for imparting Super specialty programs through advanced DM and M.Ch programs. Students need to qualify for NEET-SS conducted by NBE, New Delhi. Students who wish to take admission in SAIMS, Indore need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counseling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh.

Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Indore: Seat Matrix for Distinct Quotas

As per the collective guidelines of NMC and Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh, SAIMS, Indore offers admission in distinct quotas in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in the college itself.

There is a High Court, Jabalpur judgment in 2016, according to which, 85% seats are reserved for state quota only and candidates not having domicile of MP can only claim 15% of seats in the Management/NRI category. 

Orders are prevailing to MBBS Program only. Additionally, 30% of seats in the state quota are reserved for female candidates. Only NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counseling.  Necessary details are being mentioned below.

Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Indore offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. The degree conferred by the SAIMS, Indore is approved by National Medical Commission, New Delhi. 

The MBBS course in SAIMS, Indore is 5.5 years long including 1 year of mandatory internship. Candidates seeking admission to MBBS in SAIMS, Indore need to qualify NEET-UG followed by the Counselling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh. 

All rounds of counseling are held online. Candidates per secured rank in NEET-UG will be able to acquire a seat and then need to report to the college with essential documents.

To pursue the DM Programs, one needs to qualify NEET-SS conducted by NBE with required percentile and aspirants to need to acquire MD Degree in the required branch.

Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Indore is a constituent of Ahilya Devi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Indore. The University is widely regarded for its super specialty programs in almost every clinical and non-clinical branch of medical sciences. DM program along with M.Ch courses are conducted in Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Indore

Most of these courses are attained by the DNB Candidates and MD/MS qualified candidates. The courses are highly demanding and highly acclaimed for their scope in future aspects for teaching and expertise professionals in distinct specializations. 

DM programs can be pursued by an MD Degree holder in the respective branch of medicine. However, for the M.Ch program, MS is required to pursue the course with the required branch’s demand.

Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Indore: Stipend for PG Students

Being one of the Prestigious Medical Colleges in MP, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Indore provides a stipend to the PG students right from the first year of their Academics. 

All the Postgraduate students of SAIMS, Indore are entitled to receive a stipend per month throughout the course, decided by the College administration and as per the guidelines formulated by the National Medical Commission, New Delhi.
