Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital & Research Centre is one of the top private medical colleges located in the Union Territory of Puducherry. The college is popularly known as SVMCH Puducherry. Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital & Research Centre is known for imparting Advanced medical education at distinct levels i.e. MBBS at UG and at the Postgraduate level. Students who are seeking admission to SVMCH Puducherry, need to qualify All India Entrance followed by the centralised counselling conducted by CENTAC.

Candidates must be aware that All India Quota can be claimed on 85% of total seats out of which 35% seats are reserved for government quota and 50% reserved for the Telugu Minority Candidates of Puducherry UT only, and 15% seats are reserved for NRI Quota. Certain eligibility criteria must be fulfilled to secure a seat in SVMCH Puducherry is mentioned below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• The Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st Dec 2022. The candidates who do not complete 17 years as on 31st Dec’22 is not eligible.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile.

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 11th of August in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.
• Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and for reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital Puducherry: Admission Process

All the admissions to the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam. NEET i.e. National Eligibility Entrance Test is conducted twice a year by NTA (National Testing Agency) to provide admission to SVMCH Puducherry. Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital offers MBBS and MD/MS in several Clinical and Para-Clinical specializations.

According to the NMC guidelines, for MBBS Program, 15% seats are reserved for NRI Quota and 85% seats are to be filled as per the guidelines of NMC under All India Quota out of which, as per the norms established by the Govt. of Puducherry, 35% seats are reserved for Govt. Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital offers Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery.
