Symbiosis University, Pune: Admissions 2020-21

Symbiosis International University offers academic programs in eight faculties. The University facilitates a variety of courses at Graduate, Postgraduate, Doctoral, and Diploma levels. As per University norms, every admission granted is strictly based on the merit gained in University administered entrance exams.

SIU, Pune conducts two separate entrance tests for offering admission in UG and PG Programs across 8 disciplines by Symbiosis University. Further details of the entrances are mentioned below.

   SET 2021: Symbiosis Entrance Test:

Symbiosis Entrance Test 2021 usually refers to SET as the gateway for Undergraduate programs of Symbiosis International University.

In almost every 8 faculties, there are certain programs crafted for the Undergraduates. Law, Management, Computer Studies, Media & Communication, and Humanities & Social Sciences disciplines offer graduate courses for the UG Candidates. Besides it, Engineering and Medical Aspirants can secure their seat in the University without appearing for SET, as candidates need to qualify All India Entrance Tests for B.Tech, JEE MAINS, and for MBBS, NEET-UG is recommended to secure in the University.

SET is a common written test for admission to Undergraduate Programs in the institutes of SIU, Pune. A candidate can register for one paper from the Morning session i.e. Law or Design and another paper from the afternoon session for General programs.

  SET 2021: Eligibility for UG Programs:

• The candidate must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in any stream. The score card must be issued by a recognized board.
• Certain relaxation has been given to the Reserved Category as they have to possess 40% marks in the Intermediate exam.
• Self-attested caste certificate issued by Tehsildar/Dep. Collector/Sub-Divisional Magistrate or competent authority to avail the reservation claims.
• For Differently-Abled candidates, they need to produce a certificate fulfilling the admission requirement under DA Category. The candidate will have to get the disability authenticated from the ‘Symbiosis Centre of Health Care’. 

  SNAP Test 2021: Symbiosis National Aptitude Test:

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test usually called SNAP Test is the only entrance exam that can provide admission to PG Courses in any institute of SIU, Pune.

Since 2007, candidates aspiring to join MBA programs offered by the institute of Symbiosis International University. Candidates need to register and pay a registration fee for SNAP Test. Aspirants are advised to select an institute offering a choice of program in which the candidate is interested and then paying a separate institute program-wise registration fee.

SNAP Test is conducted across the country in Online mode. Candidates are judged on General English, Current Affairs, Quantitative Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning. The entrance exam is followed by the GE-PIWAT process conducted separately by each of these institutes before the merit list is finally published.

• The candidate must be a graduate with 50% marks from the respective stream. The last examination score card must be issued by a UGC Recognized University/Institute of National Importance.
• Certain relaxation has been given to the Reserved Category as they have to possess 40% marks in the last passed exam.
• Self-attested caste certificate issued by Tehsildar/Dep. Collector/Sub-Divisional Magistrate or competent authority to avail the reservation claims.
• For Differently-Abled candidates, they need to produce a certificate fulfilling the admission requirement under DA Category. The candidate will have to get the disability authenticated from the Symbiosis Centre of Health Care.
