Tripura Medical College is the one and only private medical college in the state of Tripura. The medical college is located in Hapania, which used to be a Village but has now been formed as a Municipal Corporation in the Capital city of Tripura. TMC Agartala was established in 2005 as a Public-Private Partnership medical institute by the collective effort of Govt. of Tripura and the Society for Tripura Medical College.

As far as academic programs offered by TMC Agartala are concerned, currently MBBS Program with an annual intake of 100 students. Tripura Medical College is well recognized by the National Medical Commission New Delhi and approved by MoHFW Govt. of India. It is one of the few medical colleges in India, which is accredited by NAAC with an “A” Grade.

Tripura Medical College Agartala: Eligibility Criteria

Tripura Medical College offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level. Aspiring students need to qualify in NEET conducted by NTA followed by the counselling conducted by DME Agartala. For the latest eligibility criteria candidates can visit https://tmc.nic.in. 

To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses at Tripura Medical College Agartala, the candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained under any circumstances.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile.
• Domicile candidates need to produce Local Residential proof to obtain a seat among 80 reserved seats. All India candidates (Non-Domiciled) are only eligible for 20 MBBS seats. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before the 11th of August in the same year of applying.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-PG with the required percentile.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.

Tripura Medical College Agartala: Admission Process

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses are strictly based on merit gained in the All-India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses. Tripura Medical College offers Clinical and Para-Clinical Programs in certain specialties. 

Students who wish to take admission to this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counselling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education Agartala.
