Vedanta Institute of Medical Sciences is the newest established medical institute in the Palghar district in the state of Maharashtra. The college is popularly known as VIMS and this is the very recent privately established medical institute in the district of Palghar.

VIMS was established in 2017 and affiliated to ‘Maharashtra University of Health Sciences’ i.e. MUHS, Nashik. The college is well approved by the National Medical Commission (Earlier MCI). Currently, VIMS offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level. The duration of the course is 5.6 yrs including 1 year of Mandatory Internship. The Institution has an excellent academic atmosphere, excellent culture, and the best infrastructural facilities provided to the students of the college itself.

Eligibility Criteria

Vedanta Institute of Medical Sciences offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level. VIMS, Palghar is a privately established medical Institution in the state facilitating with appropriate reservation as per the order mentioned by DMER, Mumbai. To secure a seat in MBBS Course in VIMS, Palghar, the candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• Candidates need to attain 17 years of age till 31st of Dec. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

Admission Process

All the admissions to the Medical Course in VIMS, Palghar are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG. 

Students who wish to take admission in this college, need to obtain the required percentile in NEET followed by the counseling conducted by Maharashtra CET. Only NEET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counseling.

As per the guidelines laid down by NMC (Earlier MCI) and the relaxation given by the Govt. of Maharashtra, Vedanta Institute of Medical Sciences, Palghar offers admission to the Undergraduate courses of the college. Hospital for Clinical Practice:

Vedanta Hospital & Research Center is an integral part of the Medical College itself. VIMS, Palghar has all facilities for theoretical knowledge. Besides it, there is a Multispecialty general hospital equipped with 350 beds. The hospital was established in the same year 2017 as the foundation of the medical college. • An advanced and ultra-modern OPD and several IPDs are there in the hospital. OPDs are spacious enough to care for 650 patients per day by the expert team of Physicians and Surgeons of respective departments.
