Vinayaka Missions Medical College and Hospital situated in Karaikal, Puducherry is one of the oldest Deemed Medical Institutes in the UT of Puducherry. The college is popularly known as VMMC, Karaikal. This is one of the most reputed Medical Institutes which was established in 1996 and had been affiliated with the Vinayaka Missions Deemed to be University since its inception.

VMMC, Puducherry has also been listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools framed by the WHO and also been a proud member of the renowned FAIMER. Vinayaka Missions Medical College and Hospital was also duly recommended by the Govt. of Puducherry, approved and recognized by the Medical Council of India (Now NMC). Vinayaka Missions Medical College & Hospital, Karaikal offers MBBS at the Undergraduate level and MD, MS at the Postgraduate level. To secure a seat in MBBS and PG Courses in VMMC, Puducherry, the candidates need to hold certain eligibility criteria which are discussed below.

For MBBS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English having 50% marks from any recognized board. Candidates from the reserved category need to possess 40% in the same. 
• Candidates need to attain 17 years of age. Less than mentioned age will not be entertained in any circumstances.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG with the required percentile. 

For MD/MS Aspirants:

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a recognized University by the NMC.
• Candidates need to have completed 1 Year of mandatory Internship on or before 31st of March in the same year of applying.
• Candidates need to produce permanent/provisional registration provided by the NMC (Earlier MCI) or the respective state medical council.
• Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-PG for General Category and for reserved category, the requirement is 40 percentile in the same.

All the admissions to any of the UG and PG Courses in VMMC, Puducherry are strictly based on merit gained in the All India Entrance Exam i.e. NEET-UG and NEET-PG for Postgraduate courses.
