Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is a computerized, National level MBA entrance test conducted by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI). Its scores also accepted by most renowned MBA colleges including XLRI and other Xavier associate management institutes across India. More than one lakhs student apply for this test every year.

It is a 3-hour long test comprising of 100 questions divided into 2 parts. The first part comprises of 3 sections and with 75 questions and the second part comprise of 1 section with 25 questions.

  • Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
  • Decision Making
  • Verbal and logical Ability

Part 2-

  • General knowledge (GK)

The application or exam form filling process starts from the first week of August and the exam takes place in January. Being an online exam, there are about 100 test centers in 46 cities of 23 states across India. The result of XAT is declared in the Third week of January.

This exam score in the form of percentile is accepted by most of the colleges offering MBA/PGDM courses. The colleges accepting XAT scores are; XLRI, XIMB, GIM Goa, FORE, IMT, K J Somaiya, LBSIM, XIME, LIBA.

XAT 2023

XAT 2023, the form filling process will start from the first week of August, and the last day to fill the form will be the third week of November (tentative). There can be a further extension in the application date (with additional late fee) till the fourth week of November (tentative). The admit card can be downloaded from the official site from third week of December (tentative). This will be a 3-hour exam with a total of 100 questions to be answered. There will be two parts in the exam; part 1 will comprise of Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation , Decision Making, and Verbal and logical Ability whereas Part 2 comprise of General knowledge (GK). There will be only one slot for the examination. The timing of the examination will be 9:30 am till 12:30 pm.

APPLICATION FORM FILLING PROCESS

There are various documents needed to fill up the Online Application Form for XAT 2023. It is recommended to gather the following documents to speed up the process of Registration.

The process of registration for XAT 2023 has the following steps

Step 1- Generate your login credentials at https://xatonline.in/

Step 2- Click on register and generate Id and Password by filling your details like name, mobile number and email-id.

Step 3- Fill in the personal details like Name, Parents name, Gender, Category, Address, etc

Step 4- Upload documents like Photograph and signature

Step 5- Enter details of class 10+2, Graduation like Marks/CGPA.

Step 6- Enter work Experience Details (If any)

Step 7- Select the XLRI programs of your choice

Step 8- Choose your nearest and most convenient City for the exam, you can choose 2 preferred test city

Step 9- Pay the application fee using online modes like UPI, Net Banking, Google Pay, Debit Card, or you can even do a cash Payment through Demand Draft in favor of XLRI Jamshedpur.

XAT 2023 FEE STRUCTURE

For the candidates who want to apply only for XAT 2023 and not XLRI can pay a fee of 1800, wherein the candidates who want to opt for XLRI programs have to pay 300 extra.

Payment of fee can be online through Debit Card, Credit card, or net banking and Cash payment through Demand Draft in favor of XLRI Jamshedpur A/C XAT. You can take the print out of your XAT 2023 Pay-in-Slip and pay at the nearest IBDI bank.

XAT 2022 RESERVATION CRITERIA

XAT is an online entrance exam to get admission into post graduate courses like MBA/PGDM. There is minimum qualification that is necessary to get the admission, but there is No minimum marks needed for admission. Anyone can apply for XAT exam if he /she had completed their graduation or in the final year of their bachelor’s degree.

The following is the detailed reservation criteria for XAT 2023

  • Candidates applying for XAT 2023 should have completed their graduation or in the final year of graduation.
  • Students with professional qualifications such as CA/CS/ICWA can also apply for XAT 2023
  • Students who are currently in their final year of their bachelor’s degree or are awaiting for their results can also appear for the exam
  • If the candidates graduation score is in the form of grades or CGPS, then the marks will be calculated by the methods as suggested by the institute/university.
  • There are no minimum marks requirement criteria for admission, only a pass certificate is required.
  • NRIs and foreign candidates can also apply for XAT 2023 through valid GMAT scores.

XAT 2023 SYLLABUS

XAT 2023 will be divided into two parts with 165 minutes will be allotted in part 1 and 15 minutes will be allotted in part 2.
